Curious Seed & Lung Ha Theatre Company in association with Lyra present

THE TABLE

18 - 20 JUNE 2026

TRAVERSE THEATRE, EDINBURGH

Building upon our acclaimed 2019 collaboration We Are All Just Little Creatures, Curious Seed and Lung Ha Theatre Company, in association with Lyra, join forces again to present The Table: a bold new intergenerational dance theatre production that asks who gets a seat at the table – and what unfolds once we’re there.

WE INVITE YOU TO THE TABLE

The Table is a world we’ve built together and now we have to figure out how we all live in it at once.

Who’s been invited and who got to make the invitations?

Blending movement, live music, text, and playful imagery, The Table offers a multi-layered performance experience that invites us to think about where we belong and how we show up for one another.

Woven through with unexpected interventions, The Table exists on the fragile edges of order and chaos, embracing both the joys and the challenges of being together - reminding us that connection can also be messy and unpredictable.

Lung Ha Theatre Company

Lung Ha Theatre Company is Scotland’s leading theatre company for actors and theatre makers with a learning disability and autism. We produce award-winning productions and work with a year-round, large ensemble to develop their practice and remove barriers to participation in the arts. For over 40 years, we have presented award-winning theatre and have established a varied and ambitious pathway for our actors; including the Lung Ha Touring Company, Across Scotland online training, mentoring and most recently through the launch of our Access and Creative Principles Toolkit.

Lyra

Lyra is Scotland’s first and only dedicated performing arts venue for children and teenagers. Based in Greater Craigmillar, we present, make and tour professional shows for young audiences and provide a cultural home where young and grown-up artists can watch , learn, and create side by side. Everything we do is free, focused on challenging socio-economic disadvantage and empowering children to access their cultural rights. Our vision is that the Young Artists we work with today will become the cultural leaders of the future.
